La cascade, 2022
Digital collage: digital images, silkscreen print and photography
Oversized surrealist landscape, La cascade is an ensemble of found images, screenshots, archived photographs and handmade four-colour prints. In this collage with contrasting materialities, the artist stages her hands, tenderly guiding the course of a waterfall through fragments of natural elements gleaned from the same wild environments that are dear to her. Representing a half-real, half-imaginary place, both nourishing and resourcing, La cascade is an invitation to reinvent our relationship with nature.
